How heavy are the boards?
The lightest longboards - 9ft 1in boards are the foam core boards(about 8kgs). Followed by the hollow boards(about 10kgs). Followed by the solid boards(about 17kgs). Everyboard will vary on weight because of the different densities of balsa.
Where does the balsa come from?
Ecuador - South America - this has the largest section sizes and the best wood in the world.
Please tell me something about Riley balsa boards?
All Riley longboards can be custom made in either foam, hollow core or solid construction. The average life of a Riley balsa board is 5 times longer than a normal polyurethane board.
How long does it take to get a balsa board made?
Usually a finish board will take 3-4 weeks.
What are they glassed with?
Polyester Resin, - Normally 1 layer of 4 Oz glass and they are polished also.
Where can I see a board?
Go to the distributors page and they could have some in stock - if not send Mark an email to mark@riley.com.au and he can either send you more photos or direct you to a shop or come and see him in Sydney.
How do I become a distributor?
You can be a distributor anywhere in the world - just contact Mark to ask about this.
Do you sell blanks or boards?
Riley sells the raw balsa in large sections, blanks and finished boards.
Do you sell to Australia only or can you sell to other countries?
Yes I can ship boards, blanks and balsa all over Australia and to Hawaii, South Africa, Dubai, America, Japan - anywhere around the world
